Registration for TQC 2024
Timeline
- 16th of April 2024: Early bird registration opens (300 tickets released). Student support applications open.
- 7th of May 2024 AoE: Student support applications deadline.
- 15th of May 2024: Notification for student support.
- 8th of June 2024: Visa application: if you need a visa to visit Japan, you can now apply for it (3 months before arrival).
- 30th of June 2024, AoE: Early bird registration deadline. Late bird registration opens (100 tickets released). Online registration opens.
- 31st of July 2024, AoE: Late bird registration deadline. Super late bird registration opens (if tickets are still available).
- 9-13th of September 2024: 19th TQC Conference in Okinawa, Japan.
Registration limits and cancellations
- Due to limited venue capacity, only around 420 tickets are available for in-person participants.
- In a first phase, 300 tickets are released. When late bird registration opens, another 120 tickets will be released.
- If for any reason you cannot make it to TQC, let us know as soon as possible and we will refund your ticket (up to banking fees).
Student support
- Apply for student support here.
- Deadline: 7th of May, AoE. Notification: 15th of May.
- Do not register for the conference (by buying a ticket) before you receive the notification for your support application; if it is successful you will receive a discount code for the registration.
- Aimed at PhD students, and master students on their last year, whose host institution cannot cover their travel costs.
- Limited number of grants. Priority will be given to students presenting talks, then students presenting posters, and students from the geographical area of the conference (for whom it would be harder to attend TQC when it takes place in Europe, for example). The needs and means of individual institutions will be taken in consideration.
- Student support includes: waiving of conference fee, accommodation in shared rooms for up to 26 students at the OIST Seaside House. Small travel grants may be available.

*You may pay the registration fee in EUR or JPY. The price in JPY is fixed. The price in EUR may be adjusted shortly before each phase starts, according to the currency conversion rate at the time.
Payments are processed by Stripe (eg. credit card payment).
