TQC 2026 Student Support

The TQC 2026 Local Organizing Committee has reserved a portion of the conference budget to provide financial support for students attending the conference.

How to Apply

To apply for student support, please send an email to 2026@tqc-conference.org no later than Sunday, May 31, 2026 (23:59, AoE timezone) with all of the following information:

  • Financial need (maximum 100 words).
  • Current studies program, level, and institution.
  • A short explanation (maximum 100 words) of how your work relates to TQC.
  • Optional statement of gender identity and/or membership in an underrepresented group, if applicable.
  • Description of other funding sources available to you, or a specific plan to secure additional funding.
  • Letter from your supervisor, advisor, or another referee explicitly stating:
    • the amount of financial support available for your participation in TQC, or
    • that no such support is available.
  • Email subject line (must be exact): TQC 2026 Student Support – Name(s) SURNAME(S)

Selection Criteria

Preference will be given to student applicants in one or more of the following categories:

  • Authors or co-authors of papers accepted at TQC 2026 who would otherwise be unable to attend due to financial constraints.
  • Participants from underrepresented groups.

Selection Committee

Applications will be reviewed by a committee composed of:

  • Honghao Fu, Concordia University
  • Stefanos Kourtis, Université de Sherbrooke
  • Ayana Sarkar, Université de Sherbrooke

Support Package

  • Students based in Canada and USA: up to CAD $875 (includes conference registration fee)
  • Students based outside of Canada and USA: up to CAD $1,300 (includes conference registration fee)

Notification

Applicants will be informed of funding decisions by June 14, 2026. The exact awarded amount will be detailed in the individual award notification letter. To remain eligible for the support package, recipients must complete their conference registration no later than June 28, 2026.
